Pulizia dello studio- Cleaning up the studio

Niente immagini, anche se ce ne vorrebbe una, del pavimento dello studio finalmente pulito! Dopo mesi di uso ci voleva proprio. Grande faticata, perchè alcune macchie vanno proprio grattate. Però è una soddisfazione, perchè ora è pronto per il prossimo lavoro...o meglio, ho ancora da mettere a posto i pennelli e le foto di Melampo. Domani vado a mostrare il book- da quanto tempo non mi capitava?- per un lavoro che mi interessa moltissimo. Speriamo bene. Per questo genere di lavoro ho potuto tirare fuori disegni vecchissimi, addirittura andando a spulciare a casa di mia madre...quanta fantasia, quanta creatività! spero che stia ancora lì, acquattata nella mia mente e pronta ad uscire alla prima occasione.

Oggi, camminando tra le foglie dei tigli che cadevano a terra, sorridevo. I fenomeni della natura mi mettono allegria. A Villa Pamphili ho salutato con gioia due belle lucertole cicciottelle, o forse appiattite per prendere più sole: se ne vedono ormai così poche!

No pictures today, although I would have liked to post one of the studio floor, clean at last! It was really necessary after months of use, but a great slog, since some stains need to be scratched off. But now its ready for a new start!..when I'll have tidied up the brushes and Melampo's pictures.
Tomorrow I'm going to show my book- how long was it since last time?-for a job that I'm really interested in. For this kind of work I had to select some very old drawings, even to the point of collecting a few at my mother's...what imagination and creativity! I hope its still all there, quietly snuggled in my brain and waiting to spring out at the first chance.

Today, as I walked  between the falling leaves of lime trees, I smiled. Nature's phenomena make me cheerful. In Villa Pamphili I  joyfully  greeted two fat - or flattened-out- lizards basking in the sun- you see so few of them nowadays!
